The Tubblet has started a one girl campaign for a kitten.  (Previous pet suggestions include polar bears and penguins!)  She wants to hug him, pet him, carry him around and … We’ve tried to put her off the idea by explaining that kittens are A Lot Of Work but she said that would be fine.  (Think we can guess who would be doing the Lots of Work).  ( Read more... )

We went back to our old town for a proper visit this weekend as the Tubblet had been invited to a birthday party.  Walking past our now rented-out house was very strange.  We’ve not met the tenants as everything was done through an agency.  All we know about them is that they’re married and from Eastern Europe.

I wouldn’t describe myself as particularly high maintenance in the personal grooming stakes, but I still find female grooming extremely time consuming.  Valuable time which could be spent doing something really useful - like nothing!

It was Harvest Festival this Sunday.  This meant that we had a Family Service - with the children staying in for the entire service. Mr Tubbs has decided, in his infinite wisdom, that Vicar’s wives Don’t Wear Denim in Church on Sundays.  This renders most of my leisure wear off limits for a Sunday morning.  My leisure wear consists of jeans and blouse OR denim skirt and tee-shirt.  The rest of the wardrobe is Work Clothes.  After a few Sundays of wearing my work clothes, much to ( Read more... )
